These programs are designed, organized and established under the jurisdiction of the Director Programs of the EYE Management Structure. These Sections include;

The Emerging Young Entrepreneur (of the Year) Program will be focused at motivating and encouraging students to express and develop themselves by inculcating entrepreneurship mind-set, skills and knowledge through a competitive platform. Encouragement is given on venturing into the venture into agribusiness. The target groups for this competition will be young aspiring entrepreneurs at tertiary institutions across Africa.

  • EYE Innovation Development (ID) Program

The unit will look into training aspiring young Agripreneurs how to be innovative and groom them to be disrupters of the African Economy. This will be disseminated through the innovation development process. This program will give aspiring Agripreneurs the necessary knowledge and mind set skills that are essential in a world of constant change.

  1. EYE Technology Transfer (TT) Program

The EYE TTID is a special unit which researches into the transfer of agribusiness related technology, or the transfer of specialised technical skill from a specialised group of people or region to Africa.

The unit explores, examines and acquires the necessary technology/specialised skills, through acquisition and training. The main objective is that the transfer of the technology and skills will bring about an improvement in effectiveness and quality of the agribusiness value chain within the African region.

  1. EYE Agribusiness Hub (AH) Program

With the mission of strengthening the Agro-entrepreneurial culture and spirit of youths across Africa, EYE has derived a new approach which focuses on creating an Agribusiness Incubation system that will produce self-reliant, disciplined, and well accomplished Agripreneurs.

The primary function of the EYE Agribusiness incubator is to provide advice and support to innovators in Agribusiness establishment and development. This support may relate to technology or business management, networking, discussion forums, creating awareness and development of their skills.

The process provides Agripreneurs with an enabling environment at the start-up stage of enterprise development, to help reduce the cost of launching the enterprise, increase the confidence and capacity of the entrepreneur, and link the entrepreneur to the resources required to start and scale a competitive enterprise.

EYE will focus on establishing Agribusiness incubator across Africa, particularly tertiary institution environment.  Agribusiness incubation has become an interesting approach to accelerate the development of agricultural technologies, industries and business skills.

The EYE incubation will be set up in each affiliated University across Africa. For a University to qualify as an affiliate, they will have to provide at least ten (10) hectares of land, in which EYE will set up an Incubation Center. EYE Incubation Center will be divided into two sections; Agribusiness Value Chain Incubation Unit; and Agricultural Research Commercialization Incubation Unit. It is at the EYE Incubation that prototyping and incubating the three EYE Competition Winners will take place.

  1. Agribusiness Value Chain Development

The aims of the Agribusiness Value Chain are;

  • To develop an entire agribusiness sector and provide a range of services
  • Specialize in integrating critical elements of the value chain.
  • Providing market access and supporting the creation of new enterprises that fill gaps in the value chain.

Therefore the Incubation will specialize in developing value chains or entire sectors, providing market access, and supply chain support services to EYE Incubatees. Business models are also derived for each incubates. The essence is to create a network or cooperative that can create Agribusiness Synergy, which will in turn bring about high productivity for EYE Incubatees.

  1. Agricultural Research Commercialization

The aims of Agricultural Research Commercialization are;

  • Facilitate transfer of technology from institutions of higher learning and research centres.
  • Stimulate the commercialization of research and the creation of new enterprises.
  • Foster diffusion of new technologies.

These technologies both include agricultural technology and advance/new agricultural skills that need to acquire from the EYE Incubatee.
